Varley
VARLEY was founded in 2015 by couple Lara and Ben Mead, with the former the brand’s Chief Creative Officer.
The brand we know today began as a merging of their passions and affinity for the aesthetic, wardrobes and lifestyle of London and Los Angeles, between which they split their time.
They created VARLEY to celebrate all modern women, providing her with a wardrobe of timeless contemporary pieces, designed for how she moves and lives.
Head quartered between Los Angeles and London, VARLEY remains an international family-run business.
What began as a self-funded company of two, has grown into a tight-knit team of thinkers, creators and innovators, taking care of our clients, each other - and you.
They consider themselves the sum of many parts.
Impact & Sustainability
Impact has been at the heart of their brand development and, like threads, it can be found woven into all that they do. From supplier selection, to material usage, to informing our customers about how to care for their products to prolong their lifespan, Varley is conscious throughout all processes.
Varley is committed to constantly educate themselves on the best ways to minimize the negative impacts of our industry on the world of today and tomorrow, while ensuring they don’t compromise on design or function. Their minimal waste policy is something they are proud of, and continue to improve each day.
“We believe in two things: the pursuit of quality in everything we do, and looking after one another. Everything else should take care of itself.”
The Varley Let’s Move & Always collections are made from Recycled Polyester.
The partner of Varley (makers of these yoga clothes) is also Bluesign certified, ensuring the environmental impact of these products is minimized.
Varley visits and assessed each partner regularly to ensure their high standards of quality and to ensure workers rights are routinely respected and upheld. Further these vendors have successfully required the SMETA certification (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit).
